ohh! i get to blog at long last!
today i went for my NS medical checkup at Central Manpower Base(CMPB). my scheduled checkup time was 1pm. ok call it 'kanchiong' ok, i reached at 12pm. i went to Redhill MRT Station which was at the western part of the tracks. then took a cab down to CMPB.
i had my photo taken donning one of the vests. then proceeded to register myself. the checkup began at 1pm so i had about 45 minutes to spare. i met Ang Zul and Zainul. they came at 8am. wahaha. super early. i had a seat and found.. Amin! haha.
so we sat there talking. then when the checkup started, we were at Station 1 which was the lab tests which tested us for urine and blood. i got a nasty prick on my middle finger and somewhere in the middle of my arm.
*hope that i don't get posted to become a Medic; i can't stand needles*.
so anyway, we had our urine inside a cup and this stick to dip it in. after that, we had to show the doc the stick 4 tiles away. can you imagine? of course, we poured away the urine after. then i was shown into a room where this guy; who wasn't even sure where my vein was and poked me with a needle and took out a tube of blood.
then i went to Station 2, which was the ENT Room, check for my hearing. i got a PES A. next was eyesight. again it was PES A. then i had my chest X-ray taken. then comes the dental.
this was a pain waiting. i made some new friends there. talked to them abit. dental i also got PES A. after that, it was to the Physical Examination Room.
here, all of us stripped down half-naked like in a gay club to our shorts. i had jeans on but oh well. i had my heartbeat taken in the ECG Room. then height and weight and blood pressure. now here. is where i got a PES BP. its PES B. the P means i got myself some extra BMT time. Basic Military Training.
i'm so....urgh-ness~!!
now i need to shed some weight or get a silver for NAPFA!
then i could have a 9-week BMT.
i must!! i wanna apply for Pilot!!!!!! yessa!! i will go and run every morning.
oh yeah, continuing the checkup. well, we waited for our turn in the queue sitting down and watching some lame cartoon on Kids Central on the mounted TV.
and we were like, ' C'MON!!!! we're like nineteen and twenty!!!'
so i talked to the guy beside me. he's from NP. he takes Dip in IT(Networking). he's a nice person to talk to kill time. =)
so when my turn came up, i went in the room. the doc asked me to pull my jeans down and my underwear. and asked me to.... cough.
so i... *COUGH-ED*.
and he said, 'Good, now put your pants back on.'
i was like, 'uhhh. yeah. ok.'
outside, there was a room filled with half-naked guys. LOL. and to add on it, it was freezing! but well, i got dressed anyway and headed out to the IQ test room. now the headache begins.
they had questions on Maths; number sequence, shape patterns. there was Physics; gears and aerodynamics. then had a memory test. keyboard test. shape rotation test. EQ test. it was mind-overloading. it was a full 2 hours of IQ tests!!
and then, i got a PES BP!............angry-ness!!~
but fine well, i admit i need to lose some weight. that's why.... i'm going swimming tomorrow!! weeehooo!~
lalalalala.
and that's all for today. =)

Morning Glory, Glory's Morning
last night, i had a pretty vivid dream. in the dream, i was assigned to the Navy as a combat diver aboard a submarine. then came this moment when i had a mission with 2 fellow combat divers. we got out of the submarine then swam back to Singapore via Taiwan. then in Taiwan, we placed explosives on some ships. then.....i woke up.
yesterday evening, i went to Raffles City for the first time in a few donkey months. with my aunt and cousin. it was quite the same as i would've remembered it to be when i last visited the place except for that 'kopitiam' foodcourt i noticed. so being an unusual shutterbug, i snapped some pics with my K800i. yea, the one with a 3.2 cybershot megapixel camera. =)
enjoy!
well, this was what i used to remember of Raffles City. a pretty high class place. oh! and there's this donut shop called, 'Donut Factory' or something. my aunts say they make the best and freshest donuts around town. but before you get to savour the donuts, first you have to get through the hour-long wait to place your order. and after that, an agonising 10 - 15 minutes wait for your order to be ready.
i haven't had a taste yet though. but i'm willing if there's anyone to accompany me there to wait. =)
rest assured, the donuts are on me!
i'm serious! =P
so anyway, i haven't been out too much. usually on weekdays, i'm home by evening. now that the weather's been gloomy lately. and sometimes, i feel that it is 'oh-so-romantic'. people might think, 'you think rain is romantic!?'. yea. why not?
and also! i'm promoting Shellen's work. call me the advertiser. she's doing some storyboarding on her project.
brief introduction on who is Shellen. my new friend from IND. haha. she's Shirley's sister. and who is Shirley? my OSIP-mate.
ok so, here's goes the story in the storyboard.
One day, there was an angry kid named, Me. Me was very naughty and he hated everyone around him. Then, he drew a monster by using magic pens! The monster came to life with a 'ROAR!'. Soon, the monster began to destroy and scare the people of the city. It stomped down people and making them flat as pancakes. Suddenly, the monster saw Shellen and it roared and stomped Shellen flat on the ground. Me felt very guilty and sad that Shellen was flat as pancake.
He missed Shellen very much because Shellen was his new friend. Me gathered up all the people he could find and together, they wanted to stop the monster from destroying the city so they came up with a plan. The plan was to erase the monster's mouth! It was a great idea so they agreed and put their hands together.
As the city had many cheerleaders, the people had cheerleader volunteers to help form a human pyramid with Me on top to erase the monster's mouth. The cheerleaders were very brave! Soon, Me was able to erase the monster's mouth and had stopped it from eating the buildings. The monster didn't die, of course. Instead, Me and and the monster had become good friends and the monster had felt sorry that it had made Shellen as flat as a pancake. Me also had forgiven the monster but the fact remains that Shellen was still as flat as a pancake.
The moral of the story is?
Never draw a monster using magic pens.
and Shellen is going to kill me for writing such a horrible story.
but neverthemore. i would like to congratulate myself on my first children's book.
a bit too violent isn't it? bleh~ =P
have a nice day!

Who Says Cherry Blossoms In January?
after a dramatic 16 weeks of Semester 2 in Year 3. yesterday, Monday, marked the end of OSIP/SIP. i cannot tell you how it feels like. its too hard to describe in words.
i've got practically nothing to do at home. of course there's the Internet. i've yet to finish my Advanced Japanese II. then, there's my driving practicals to take. what else. loads of stuff to do but i haven't planned it all. there's also the Japan trip; needs some adjustment.
i attended the TP Open House last Saturday. nothing to make up of it. its pretty boring. because of the presentation? literally talking to chairs. wah, i pity Shirley. it was that depressing okay. there was no one there!! the only audience we got were the indian dancers performing after us. and the only audience they got were us presenters. abit of 1-sided affair. the henna booth was quite popular though. and i also got a henna job done too!! on my left hand!!! *grin grin*
look look!
nice right? Shirley's sister's friend did it for me! she wrote my name there but the 'R' got smudged on the way up to IRIS meeting room for debrief! total angryness! ahaha. actually i didn't even realised it was smudged until one of the GCC exco squealed at me in the lift.
see the smiley face!!!
oh ya anyway i vandalised Shirley's hands too in the GCC debrief. hahaha. Daisy called them 'dog shit'. hahahaha. because i drew circles. humpf! okay fine, i admit i'm not good at drawing. =P
i'm so tired. talking to Michelle now. bleh bleh~
oh ya, i got the Open House goodie bag!!! thanks to Shellen. but it was empty but i said it was fine. i just wanted the bag. =D
so anyway, just now i spent the whole day at my cousin's house and we went to Tampines Interchange to eat at Long John Silver's. then we went to Century Square to look for my handphone pouch.
and which reminds me! i got a new mobile phone!!! woohoo! happy seh. Sony Ericsson K800i. the cybershot phone. its so pretty and classy. i've been eyeing this phone since like last year. got it last Sunday. bought it for $398 but my dad got a $100 rebate off by using the Starhub points.
i'm like a kid who got a new toy. =D
and i'm 4 years old again.
i dragged this entry till 4am in the morning.
guess i should be sleeping now.
byebye.

Sick Or Lovesick?
hello cold. its been a long time.
well can you believe it? today's my last day in office and as a matter of fact; the last day for OSIP/SIP. gone are the days of having to wake up at 6am. not at least till i start NS.
for the past few days, no one could've imagine what i've done to past the time. well maybe a few. i was playing games in office!!! the whole day!! wahahaa. how bad i could be. i've been playing what; Rainbow Six, Crimsonland etc etc. not that i have nothing to do, i wanted to enjoy this sweet moment of playing games in office. hey! its not everyday you get to play in office and i don't live a day twice. =)
alright, put it as i'm being too playful.
okay so, i still have an OSIP report due on Monday. but so what!? its the holidays now. i'll get it done in a minute. right. =P
the past few days, i've been getting sick, sick, sick, sick.
the first thing is i always catch a cold. weather maybe?
second thing, i'm always feeling so.....confused.
third thing, i need some job to keep me occupied while i'm on holiday.
holidays are fine, but with nothing to do all day, life is meaningless.
OSIP-GCC presentation tomorrow during TP Open House '07.
i'm not really looking forward but i wanna goodie bag!!! =D
and i'm wearing a yellow polo tshirt i bought in Thailand which has the King's emblem on it. yellow yellow.~ i was born with the colour yellow. =D
so i'm happy!!
the other day, i was looking through some of the photos i took in Thailand. had lots of them. some were funny. others reminding me that, yea, those were the days.
my philosophy in life.......
you never live a day twice.
i'm sure most of you would agree. 1 day would just go by wasted if at the end of the day and you ask yourself, what have i done today? what could i have accomplished?
so anyway, i was reading the papers, and its quite a setback for those people hit by the recent floods. i'm lucky to have lived in Singapore. truly i am. i could just hope for the best for them. i was devastated actually to have seen the photos. water levels as high as 10 metres. my God. incredible.
i was walking through City Link Mall and this guy came up to me saying, 'hello sir, good morning.' i knew what he was asking for. typical donation drives.
not that i scorn them, i know. i just know.
well, he asked if i wanted to donate. i just looked at him and answered a curt, 'NO.' period.
persistence my friend, will kill you one day.
so he insisted. insisted. so i asked, 'so how much are you looking for?'
he replied, 'minimum 10 dollars.'
i gave him a disgusted look and he said, 'okay, any amount you wish. coins also can.'
okay sure, i dug my pocket for coins and fished out $1.50. i gave him and wished him a pleasant afternoon. he put the coins into the bag and i was on my way.
well, at least that boy has the courtesy to say 'Good Morning'. and i liked that.
i have never in my life of 19 years, looked down on people. n-e-v-e-r.
donations are meant to be given to the poor. if i have so much so that i wanted to donate, my donations will go directly to the poor. not through some NKF or some fund-raising. i am always aware that there will be always people who are more unfortunate than me. but nowadays, donations asking of more than $5. its ridiculous!! it is up to the donor how much he or she wants to donate. you can't simply expect each person to vomit out 10 bucks!!~ disgusting at how i look at it.
so people, time to have a reality check. which reminds me.
its been a long time since i had somebody to spend the weekend with.
i think i need a girlfriend.
haha.
finding one is easy.
finding the right one. it takes time.
its not everyday i see a girl i like.
i'm just tired. i'm sick. and i need to rest. i've been sleeping early for the past week. hurray for me!! haha.
alright then, time to sleep. good night.
Nihon-go de.. oyasumi.

j'attends l'amour de mes reves
after a long absence from the blogging arena...
every single weekday as i board the perfume-laden bus to take me to work, i realised and saw how people are really self-indulging in their perfumes. from the refreshing Polo to the sexy and sweet Calvin Klein, all you gain from a 30-minute ride is a shirt full of mixed flavours. i don't even need to spray perfume at home!!!!
i used to put on Polo Blue cologne. but i started to use Calvin Klein now. well, not that i care that much. its just to get me out of the house without that just-woke-up smell.
so updates, updates. where have i been during the weekends? Saturday, i went to the NTU seminar at Suntec, reached about 12.30pm and was quite late~
i kept Shirley waiting for about 20 minutes. sheesh~ sorry Shirley... =)
then proceeded to the meeting rooms for the Business & Computing Double Degree Program talk. met Michelle there also. though not as what i expected, it was nice.
next up, took 133 to Bugis for NUS Business School seminar with Shirley. romantic right??
hahaha. no la.
she wanted to see what courses are offered in NUS Business. its not an easy school to get in but its worth a shot.
then we went to Starbucks, talked a while then sent her home.
i didn't know she was a pretty good sprinter. =)
on Sunday, i didn't go anywhere. i was holed up in my room doing a video presentation for GCC-OSIP presentation. so i was pretty caught up with work. anyway, this week is the last week for OSIP so i'm much hyped for the break. i'm finding part-time jobs now. clueless where jobs are right now.
i'm so exhausted now.
そして、さくらちゃん は やさしくないよ!!
すきじゃありません!!!
haha. i'm kidding. she laughed at me!!!!
ahahahahahaa. i have no idea also. humpf! =P
remind me if we ever play Battlefield 2 again. i'm going to blow you up with a C4!!!!
hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!
so anyway, i'm looking forward to TP's Open House 2007. its going to be fun fun fun!!!!!! i'm on duty for Global Connect Club at the Plaza and having OSIP presentations there on Saturday. hopefully i'll get a goody bag... i want i want i want!!!! =D
today's GCC meeting was about roughly 45 minutes? there was nothing else i could listen to because i'm just some renegade sub-comm with an extraordinary ability to disappear when called upon. no no no.. actually i don't have a valid reason why i disappear. hahah. but! i'll be sure to do work when i'm assigned to.
and i'll be wearing that yellow Thai yellow polo T i think. if not i would have to wear formal!!! what a bother. by the end of the day, i'll sweat like crazy.
do you have any idea how hot its going to be under that tent!?!?!
its madness wearing formal when everybody whose everybody is wearing casual.
on the way to work earlier in the day, i saw a streak in the sky, way up high. probably a high-altitude jet that's skimming the atmosphere or just an low orbit satellite.
and i saw this motivational quote on CNA on TVMobile in the bus,
"People who struggle in their life have failed in achieving a life balance and have not paid the price of not making a decision."
or something. can't remember the full quote, but i got it partially. a pretty motivational quote by Arthur something. his name starts with 'A'?
right. so continuing. i'm sure most have you have seen the cute little girl in my display pic. the picture where there is a car behind and a girl being carried in the arms by her mother.
she's soooo cute can?!!?!?!
i simply had to take her picture. i asked her mother's permission but as always, some kids are camera shy. even when i coaxed her she didn't want. when i focused the camera, she ran to her mother's back and hide!!!
her mother laughed and said something to the kid. like 'don't be shy...its ok', that kind of thing. but still the kid was super shy!!!
in the end, i told Michelle to take her picture secretly and that's where i ended up with the picture!!! hehehee. i was laughing gleefully as we went back in the taxi that night from MBK.
totemo kawaii. hontou ni. i wish i had a daughter who is just as cute. hmmm..
then...good night.
i want to rest. a good night's rest is essential to kick-start a good day!
buenos noches chica.

The HomeTeam.
i woke up this morning feeling abit dazed.
woke up at around 9am. quite early for a Saturday but since OSIP, i've been waking up around this time for work, so now i'm confident my biological clock is back on track!!!! =)
anyway, it was so cold and stark yesterday then add with the very erratic weather. it just seems so weird; one moment its raining, next moment it stops. half an hour later, it starts raining again. raining cats and dogs? and the thing is, it got so cold that i caught a cold late evening. wow. it feels as though i'm in a temperate country. brrrrrrr.
i took half-day yesterday to attend the career fair held at TP. we didn't actually have to apply. we were told by our supervisor in Thailand to manage our own time. it rained and rained and rained all day. quite depressing but at the same time i find it romantic. i know, i know, raining all the time is not really good. but who cares!!!! i still find it romantic.
okay so, back to the career fair, it gives me a rough idea of what jobs i could expect in the near future. though its not that important to me because of NS, i'm particularly interested in further studies. right now, honestly, i don't know what jobs i could take up with a mere diploma. computer programmer? maybe. graphic design? thinking of it.
yesterday during dinner, i had talked to my dad about the career talk earlier on. as usual, he gave me good and sound advice about career paths and about work future. he's even encouraging me to go overseas. though i'm not sure where. thinking of somewhere in Asia.
"whatever you do may be sometimes unsuccessful, but it is important to know that you give your best."
but it is our perseverance that will have people have our respect and earn our credibility as a hard-working person. well, i have to agree its true.
and for your information, i just made it a point to make a new permanent New Year resolution. which is.....
"To do my best in whatever I do no matter how trivial or simple the task may be."
Einstein didn't plan to be famous. he just did what he was best at; being a physics theorist.
i'm not in a position to say i'm as good as Einstein. no one was ever as good as him. he was the one i look for inspiration whenever i want to solve a puzzle since primary school. back then , i was so much interested in how things work. mechanical science. generally, i did well for my science than my languages. even for maths. in primary school, i was more inclined towards maths and sciences than to languages. by secondary school, i turned into a lazy student. hahahahahaha! but i'm not stupid. lazy people are not always stupid. i do read books and knew more general knowledge compared to my peers. =) *cough*
so in any case, * i sidetracked abit there*, today i'm going to the NTU seminar at Suntec with OSIP-mates. man, i still have NS before i could actually enter a Uni. but i would gladly serve my nation in the name of patriotism. i'm not protecting the Government, i'm protecting my country.
i'll have to get ready soon. and it looks like its going to rain soon. but i'm still going.
so have a cosy afternoon people. its a good day to stay in bed.
i love you.
and because of that i scream in desolation.
woke up at around 9am. quite early for a Saturday but since OSIP, i've been waking up around this time for work, so now i'm confident my biological clock is back on track!!!! =)
anyway, it was so cold and stark yesterday then add with the very erratic weather. it just seems so weird; one moment its raining, next moment it stops. half an hour later, it starts raining again. raining cats and dogs? and the thing is, it got so cold that i caught a cold late evening. wow. it feels as though i'm in a temperate country. brrrrrrr.
i took half-day yesterday to attend the career fair held at TP. we didn't actually have to apply. we were told by our supervisor in Thailand to manage our own time. it rained and rained and rained all day. quite depressing but at the same time i find it romantic. i know, i know, raining all the time is not really good. but who cares!!!! i still find it romantic.
okay so, back to the career fair, it gives me a rough idea of what jobs i could expect in the near future. though its not that important to me because of NS, i'm particularly interested in further studies. right now, honestly, i don't know what jobs i could take up with a mere diploma. computer programmer? maybe. graphic design? thinking of it.
yesterday during dinner, i had talked to my dad about the career talk earlier on. as usual, he gave me good and sound advice about career paths and about work future. he's even encouraging me to go overseas. though i'm not sure where. thinking of somewhere in Asia.

ごめんね。いま、いいから。
for the last few days i was having mild dizzy spells until finally this morning, i had a slight fever.
talk about not having enough rest. it just screws up our biological clock. when i was still in primary and below, i was sleeping at around 10pm. now, my normal sleeping time is about 1am. which leaves me just 6 hours of sleep in my routine monophasic sleep cycle.
monophasic in layman's term means you sleep only one cycle per 24 hours. get it?
now polyphasic sleep, means you sleep several cycles per 24 hours thereby the word 'poly'.
several times means your sleep would sometimes be short as 10 minutes per hour or as long as 2 hours per 10 hours.
polyphasic sleep, also known as 'da Vinci sleep'. linked to the famous Leonardo da Vinci.
but alas the term 'da Vinci sleep' is not proven. its an urban myth. polyphasic sleep could not be associated with him as per evidence.
interesting?
anyway, recently today, i just had this wild idea of cryptography.
i jotted it down somewhere in my diary. yes, i keep a diary.
must've been triggered by that fever.
maybe i'll try to get it done someday using some open-source software.
but first i need to study some languages like C or Python or Perl.
and!!
i wanna start to learn some proper cooking. saw some programmes on the Asian Food Channel this afternoon.
i also want to take up photography. get myself a prosumer dSLR. probably a Nikon or Canon EOS. a steep price tag of at least $1,200 just for a kit. expensive hobby.
that day, i had caught a glimpse of the perfect girl. she was perfect. everything about her was perfect. somehow, i couldn't get her off my mind. i look somehow rather in distraught. maybe i think too much. my mind always seem to be processing. it never stops. even while i'm watching TV!
ahh well. erm. i'll get this over. nothing serious. nothing beats of having a human brain for a CPU. it rocks!
ごめんよ。

Good 'Hare' Day
'Sir, please mount the platform and put your arms up.'
after passing through the metal detector gantry at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport, a security official inspected me. horrified at most. and i thought that was all, then they decided to, 'Hey, why not check your bag since we're bored most of the time?'
my bag was scanned through twice at least before they let me board the plane. and being me, i was kind of paranoid.
plane rides isn't comfortable at the very least. well, not if you're travelling in Business Class. or maybe First Class. but i guess i'm not the picky type if its being paid for. i'll settle for nothing more.
on returning back from Singapore, i, being the notorious observer, discovered several things i like to play around with; hair.
not the ones you're thinking of but yes hair on top of the head.
my sister would just love to take a punch at me if i had toyed around with her hair.
and i did some research, to have an idea what is an ideal women's hairstyle.
which resulted....
in this....

you may call this my personal favourite. long hair, a bit curly.
1 word. flaunty.
next.
the ever-common, Asian hairstyle.
not that i'm saying its bad. its just....common.
well, pretty common isn't it? but it still looks good no matter what.
man, i miss that girl in Bangkok. oh? you don't know? go back and read my posts!!! humpf!
alright alright. all this coding-in-office madness got me hungry.
i'm craving for ice cream.

HERUPU ME!
i'm so stressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
parsing XML into Flash? headache, headache headache!!!!!!!!!!
next up, documentation for FlashPaper 2 project.
busy busy busy busy in office.
1 thing i hate about office work is the routine stuff that you usually do when you sit down....
turn on the computer.
update later. i logged in just to say hi.
so, 'HI!'
and bye.
so, 'BYE!'.
------------------------------------------------------
continued at 10:05pm in my room.
today, i reached home early courtesy of Umar's dad. he gave me a lift home so i reached at around 6.30pm. i reached home and laid down at my bed thinking, 'finally, i'm home at last.'
truthfully speaking, i miss my home alot and kept thinking of it all the while when i was in Bangkok. it kept whirling in my mind until the third week, i succumbed to fever and cough. that was the worst days of my life in Bangkok. dreading medicine.
i hate medicine!!! they make me feel like so plastic-ky and all and not forgetting artificial.
right. so the last few days, the first few days of my days in Igroup's Singapore branch office. it was pretty fine. office life is just interesting for the first few days. after that, its all routine work. i'm by nature, a very adventurous person. i wanna try new things experience new things. pick up challenges. in layman term, i believe i am an adrenaline-driven kind of person. there's a term for it.
adrenaline junkie.
it refers to a person who literally feeds off adrenaline to lead a satisfying day.
but on the other hand, pumping adrenaline all the time is a no-no. especially when i read that there was a test done on adrenaline and how it affect people's behaviour in their daily cycle. one sure-sign of strenuous adrenaline is extreme fatigue. it stresses the heart to perform extra cardiovascular activity to ailing parts of the body. which is really no good.
so that means, stay off to 1 - 2 cups of coffee per day!!!!
oh so anyway, i'm embarking on another project after this SIP. i haven't yet decided but if anyone needs a partner in any kind of project, feel free to contact me. i'm turning freelance till i graduate in March. =D
meanwhile, i will be playing Call of Duty 2 on my desktop.
MSN's pretty deserted since its the project rush period.
oh and.... my 2007 New Year resolutions...wanna hear? here goes....
1. Fulfil my last year's New Year resolutions!
and that's all. come to think of it. did i ever have New Year resolutions for last year!?
it may be a good time to reflect what i have done and what could be done. the only time to do this is.......in the bathroom!!!!!!!
heh. well, practically speaking, its the only time you are alone and have all the time and space to yourself. am i right? i'm sure most of you would agree.
time is running, the clock is ticking, and we are getting older folks.
i'm having bad dreams again. i'm like super upset today. just 2 days ago i woke up having cold sweat in the morning. what is happening to me!?!!!??!!
no matter. now i know why geniuses live such short lives.
ja, oyasumi. nemui desu ne. dewa mata!!.

Selamat Merry New Year
for the inquisitive mind, yes i am back in Singapore. landed safely at Terminal 2 on 30th December 2006.
and to reassure myself it was worth coming back, on the eve of New Year, 5 separate bomb attacks rocked Bangkok killing at least 3 while wounding around 50 as of current. one of the bombs exploded at Central World where they were having the New Year countdown. if i had extended my stay there, i would've been there and could have landed myself in big trouble.
blessing in disguise?
in the face of adversity will you know your worth.
when problems arise, so does opportunity.
last week, i had myself first-hand experienced how was it like to be poor. that evening the 4 of us were going to The Mall and it just so happened that there were no taxi around. we waited like 15 full minutes but none was available. so we decided to walk there, about 1 kilometre away. when we were passing a stretch of road where there were 2 people begging. 1 of them was holding a baby in her arms. unlike Singapore, in Thailand the poor are really that poor. i gave them some coins wishing silently that they would be better off in future with what i had gave them. i really do not wish that happening to me; begging to raise my family in future. i will ensure that they would have a comfortable life.
there is never a better lesson than a lesson on how to survive.
OSIP taught me that. and much more.
and Happy Belated Birthday to my blog which turned 3 years old on 26th December. i forgot to mention it in my last entry. =)
Selamat Hari Raya Haji ;
Merry X-Mas ;
Happy New Year.
stay happy. always.
