Happy Lunar New Year to all.
I met up with my secondary schoolmates on Monday to go kite flying. Now I can say, "I know how to fly kite!" It wasn't that difficult provided the conditions were good. But it was hot and windy. The sun was shining brightly, so it goes without saying that we got sunburnt.
We started the day flying kite at 11am till about 4pm. My arms are red,burnt and itchy but awfully sore; that burnt feeling.
Well anyway, there was only me, Fairuz, Fandi, Nurzafirah, Aida, Nurul, Ahmad and Aida's niece. IT WAS TOO MUCH FUN! haha. I truly enjoyed the time we spent together. They are my best friends, honestly.
Well, anyway, Nurzafirah's smiley kite flew away, but she bought a new 'sotong' kite. And even that tried to fly away. Fortunately, Fandi had retrieved the kite from the construction site, if not, another $20 burnt.
We ate at the Macdonalds at the Sengkang Swimming Complex, after which we went to watch a movie at Downtown East. Its one of Jackie Chan's newest movie, Little Big Soldier. It was quite an 'OK' movie if you got money to throw. Though it was the Lunar New Year, there were lots of Chinese walking around. WHAT IS WRONG!? IT IS THE NEW YEAR!! Aren't they supposed to be visiting relatives or something? But hey, to each his own and with that, I rest my case.
After the movie, we split up, leaving behind me, Fairuz and Nurzafirah. So what to do? We went to Kallang Leisure Park's Starbucks, bought drinks and went to Tanjung Rhu and enjoy the stillness of the night by the 'longkang' (read: canal)
We stayed till late until our drinks had been depleted and we went home.
An enjoyable day, blessed with good company. Thanks for the good memories guys and girls. =)
