If Only It Could Go Faster...

i switched the input on the projector to HDMI and changed the amplifier's output to DVD/LD and switched on the living room fan to speed 2.

i loaded 'Need For Speed: Pro Street' into the PS3's disc bay.
and started the race.

but....before that, i upgraded the engine, put in a turbocharger and included 2 pairs of Brembo high-density, cross-drilled, air-cooled disc brakes for the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640.

As the cars inched forward in anticipating for race start, my Lamborghini roared to life with its 869 brake horsepower with a high C note. Equipped with a Turbonetics turbocharger, the engine spooled up till its maximum torque band. It just totally sounds like an F1 car.

As the lights went green, the cars screamed forward, burning the tyres on the dry asphalt track. With traction control, TC for short, switched on, the LP640 fishtails to the left and i counter-steered the wheel making the car straight again. The drivetrain was simply transferring too much power to the wheel until it could not make traction on the surface of the road. As it reached peak velocity, the supercar sped off squeezing into the narrowest of gaps in between the lead cars.

As the LP640 pulls into 2nd gear, it was already slicing the air at 115km/h. When the turbocharger kicks in at 5,000RPM, i felt i was piloting a rocket. However, there was still 1 car left to beat, that was the Porsche GT2. This baby could outrun a Lamborghini!? Impossible.

As i snaked the bends and curves of the 22 kilometres track, i found out the Porsche GT2 had a more robust acceleration at the lower part of its torque-band. It had outgunned me during the bends. Though my LP640 is not built for negotiating turns, it was built for one purpose and one purpose only, it was BUILT FOR SPEED.

It is no wonder my grin got bigger as it got to the long stretch towards the checkpoint. As soon as the road straightened, i rammed the accelerator, the engine sounded as if it was a jet engine. Once the LP640 got into speed, it was reaching almost 340 km/h!!!

There was only 1 thing left to do; activate the nitrous oxide.

"TAP"...... "CLICK".....

The tachometer went ballistic and the speed gauge went off its charts.

As my LP640 overpowered the Porsche GT2, the track had now started to go into a mild left curve, which it nicely handled, what i had failed to anticipate was the right corner that was looming ahead about 400 metres.

I didn't know what was coming, by the time i saw, it was too late.

By 100 metres, I saw the corner, the speedometer read 325km/h. I jammed the brakes, activating the Anti-Lock Braking System(ABS) and the Electronic Brakeforce Distribution(EBD) system. The car swung 70 degrees the right but still had excessive speed to negotiate the corner. It was eventually the inevitable.

The 1.6 ton supercar had slammed violently with great immeasurable force into the concrete slabs cornering the track. The lateral force of the skid had the car go airborne and made it flipped for good measure. The hood in front of the car was ripped off, the chassis was badly crumpled like its made out of papier mache.

It all happened in slow motion; watching slowly as my near 2.1 million dollar car turn into nothing but a big ball of metal junk. it was heart-wrenching.

I had to spend 52,000 credits to fully restore the car!
---

The above happened within 2 minutes. am i just a bad driver or can i be hailed as a hero for wrecking a modded Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 eh?

that's something you guys would have to gun it out on the track with me. another thing is, in racing, speed is never enough. welcome to the world of competitive racing!

Tears Of The Moon

gosh i'm sick today. i'm having a fever, cough, running nose and a serious headache.

it all started on Sunday. i was having flu. slept only for 2 hours during the night. i woke up at 4.30am, got ready to go back to camp. i had to report back to camp at 5.40am so i took a cab which costed me about $20 including surcharge. i wasn't feeling very well during the ATP shoot. i had running nose as well as watery eyes.

and i had barely passed the shoot. =(

we finished at around 11pm. and by that time, i was half awake. i reached home at 12.20am and i took a cab back too.

somehow, the next day which was Tuesday, i managed to drag myself out of bed and went to work feeling very weak. it carried on till Wednesday until today i succumbed to feeling very very weak and miserable. my joints feel very very sore and they're aching like mad. my mind's feeling very numb.

i'm going to the doctor soon. get an MC. i hate being sick feeling very helpless.

---

back from the doctor. i've got 2 days MC. but i will go back to work tomorrow. i hate medicine, i really do but if i don't have them, i would not recover fast. the doctor gave me 3 types of medicine, flu medicine, gastric medicine and muscle ache medicine. i don't think i need the gastric medicine; i don't have gastric!!!!

two of the medicine are drowsy medicine. i don't like to sleep during the day. so i won't eat them till evening. =D

i had an interesting dream last night. it was dark and i was walking alone. then i heard someone or some people calling my name. first it was a whisper. the voice got firmer and louder as i walked on. i heard faint voices. i could not figure out where i was. as i began to pick up my walking pace, out of nowhere, a hand grabbed my arm, i shouted but no voice came out and guess who! it was Cherry. she mumbled something i couldn't understand and we began running. it felt like a long run until finally i woke up sweating and looking at the clock. 2am sharp.

i dragged my feet to the kitchen to drink some water; i felt like vomitting. i felt as if i was about to faint and i went to wash my face and tried my best to sleep.

and i feel so tired, maybe i'll lie down on the bed for a while. this darn headache has been bothering me since morning. usually, i like to be alone when i'm sick.

byeee.

The Girl Worth Finding For...

i like it when a girl takes effort to dress herself up.

i was chatting with a friend yesterday night. he asked, "What would be your ideal girl?"
of course, i didn't really divulge all the details to him but since i'm blogging now, might as well.

i like girls who take care of their assets, mainly their hair. nothing looks good on a girl other than a well-kept and groomed hair. i could melt, honestly. a girl could dress as shabbily as she would want to, ultimately, its the hair that gets noticed. that's what i think.

the importance of character. never underestimate them. a girl who has character and strong virtues are the ones are most unlikely to fail in life. its like having an engine that never fails because its well-built with the best materials.

personally, i hate girls, who on the other hand, condescend themselves in the favour of being accepted. i've had my share of encounters. its fine to please, but not to the point of lowering one's moral compass to accomodate the significant. it disgusts me to find such girls do exists.

finally, a girl that could cook. haha. its quite a challenge to find one nowadays, with the exception of those working in the F&B industry. imagine this, me, coming home everyday from work just to find that dinner has been bought from the nearby food stalls. not that i hate commercially-available food but i don't find the point of being married to have a wife that can't cook!
honestly, it is important for a girl to be able to cook. i don't care if its tasty or not, i'm a person who likes to see effort. if she doesn't know how to cook, then learn!.
of course, i'd learn with her too. =)

then there's the issue of having a girlfriend/wife of a different religion/race. even more, from a different country. i'm alright about it, i don't mind it at all but there has to be consent from parents too. i don't feel very much at ease at the very least. right now, i wanna know if i can just get married without either converting or reverting.

its not that hard to find that girl right? =)
maybe i have found one already.
the girl that could calm the storm with her sunshine-esque smile.

in the meantime, i was looking through my pile of letters and found that i had put my baby photo amongst them. here!!

honestly, i didn't know what i was doing but i looked happy. i remembered, many people, well, MANY MANY people like to squeeze my cheeks right through primary school. it felt like my cheeks were bound to expand after every squeeze. but my dimples are always there! =P

Clothes In My Closet

today, i stayed at home the whole day. no, its not because i didn't want to go out. i had a mission; that was to clear out my cupboard of all the old clothes i had.

and this is what i had come up with at the end of a gruelling 5 hour cleanup.

there's about 40+ pieces of clothing at least! that's not including the ones in the cupboard and the ones that are being washed. the extreme right of the pile, its my old secondary school uniform. they're pretty worn out but i still look good in them nonetheless. i like being a schoolboy. hah!

most of it are T-shirts though. i seldom wear T-shirts nowadays. i like Polo-Ts. my T-shirts are slightly worn, maybe about 2 - 3 years old since my Poly-slacking days. they were my 'uniform' in Poly. i miss those days where i can just stroll in with a T-shirt, a pair of bermudas and slippers while holding just a pen into class. slacking at its finest moments.

so back to my clothes. i have no idea where to put them now. though there's an awful alot of space in my cupboard now. i just can't bear to throw them away. i hate throwing things away. just a moment ago, i threw some bottles of cologne that i didn't use. they're cheap though, bought them in Thailand. i still have the Ralph Lauren Polo Explorer Blue, Hugo Boss Orange Edition, Adidas Dynamic Pulse, Luciano Soprani UOMO and Calvin Klein Eternity Summer for Men. including the ones on my set-table are hair sprays, facial masks and creams and a coin box where i keep all my loose coins. last time i counted the coins, it was worth about $25.

if there is anyone out there who collects clothes and give them to the needy, please, please, please contact me. i just don't feel like throwing them away.

other than my cupboard, i need to do spring cleaning in my room again. its dusty again. i hate dust.

other updates, Daphne had met with a motorbike accident. most of the skin on her right leg had come off. she said it was 1/4. it happened on a Good Friday to add up. read on to her blog under the links. and i had wanted a motorbike licence. she told me not to, having a car is fine enough. indeed.

wish you a fast recovery Daphne!...

Cherries Blossom In March

such a cool morning. so it seems like it.

its Cherry's birthday today! ummm, used to joke about her age when i was in school. hahah.
she's........ old. -_-"

i mean, i'm 21, but i feel like i'm 12........... oh, nevermind.
(for the record, i'm still 20.)

bright and early in the morning, it was bright and sunny. i was happily driving down to Singapore Post Office at Paya Lebar to get a greeting card. small greeting card but its the thought that counts. how many times have we said that but actually mean it. heh.

okayy, so i called her up, she went down.

"Turn, turn, turn!! okay, go out through the door. the car, the car."

"Where? where? i cannot see you.... ohhh!!!......."

if i could describe it in 3 words. it would be, "CLASSIC KOREAN DRAMA"
and it started to drizzle halfway. i didn't do the effects but it was good!
it could be a box office hit honestly. ahahahaha.

it couldn't be any better. well, its been a long time since i had Ferrero Rocher too. so.., i'm going to buy a huge box home! hah!

おめでとう たんじょうび さくらちゃん!

Night Drive

i went for a drive to Changi Beach just a moment ago.

i'm just so sad? maybe. i wanted to see aeroplanes. someday i'll fly far away and never come back. i saw about 5 planes landing consecutively before i headed home.

かなしいな。もう、いいよ。

i'll hate you for that.

Sick Of Being Sick

i'm sick.

4 straight days of standing under the rain for 2 whole hours, 4 hours a day.

coincidentally, i took leave tomorrow. good timing. i need rest; rest is never enough. and Wednesday, back to work. i got IMT training on Thursday at SAFTI MI. its a half day training. next Monday, 24th, i got my Advanced Trainfire Package(ATP) shoot for my marksman badge!

i blasted the aircon and i felt like i was in polarbear land. hey! i like polarbears. they're so.... white.

today, i witnessed a crow eating a baby bird. wow. that's something you don't see everyday. its gross. can hear the baby cries like, "Cheep, cheeep, cheeep".
and the crow was, "Caw,caw caw!!"
irritating crow. i felt like taking the rifle and shooting it down but i can't. angry-ness.

i think i should eat more vitamins. the food they give us is like crap. it tastes like crap. i fall sick quite easily. my running nose stopped after i ate some....Zyrtec.

and now i'm sick. my body feels kinda hot too. my camp area there, the mosquitoes are like having white stripes on the leg. i got bitten quite a few times. scary stuff.
i just don't know why i managed to drag time today. feels soooo sooooo soooooo slow. its like running in water.

Deprived Of Sleep

i've not have enough sleep the past night because of guard duty.

though, i would love to actually say what i did but the law says i can't. s-e-c-r-e-t.
Official Secrets Act. pfffft.
i'd be a traitor if i told so go figure.

i had about 4 hours of sleep which is overkill because i'm driving.

maybe i will add some more details tomorrow. i need to sleep.
oh, Cherry's back from Tokyo.

i wonder when can i have the time for travel. all i need is time. my passport's going to be dead this 18th March. i need to make a new passport by the end of the month.

and with that, my hair is dry. its the 16th of March already! =)

I Can't Wait To ORD

its been raining heavily for the past 3 days. it always starts when i start work. that's bad when i have to stand sentry.

i went home in soggy socks and boots today. =(
a soldier's morale lies in the palm of his feet. i would feel very squirmy when i would have to walk in wet boots and hear that squishing sound so its important to keep my feet dry.

its all because of that....that...gay.....urgh....

enough said, i am super-duperly tired. i'm going to sleep at 8.30pm i don't care. Army life is just so tired. maybe i'll withdraw my absorption into Regular service.
anyway, tomorrow is my half-day off-in-lieu of Chinese New Year eve duty. i'm so happy that i could jump! =)

and on Friday, i've got 24hrs guard duty. scream.
"just take it like a man and knock it down."

and i'm frustrated. not because of the weather. i've still not received last year's graduation photos.
g********.

i feel like punching someone. i feel like fighting. yes yes. i need to let off some steam; its dangerous to speed on wet roads no?

Regimen Melayu Singapura

they don't know what we go through. what we had sacrificed for this country. the things we do for the sake of freedom and independence.

have you ever thought about what a combatant soldier does?
"From This Land I Am Made, For This Land I Will Fight."
in memories of those sacrificed so that others could reach the stars.

Big Dreamer's Cars

i'm bored. while waiting for my hair to dry, let me blog again.

i was eating some ice cream before i bathed so, naturally, i'll take a spoon. after eating a few bites, i put back the ice cream in the fridge. i went back to my room to get my towel and went in the bathroom. i took off my shirt and went to open up the shower.

and like, what the hell? i was still holding on to the spoon. absent-mindedness. no good no good. it would lead to short-term memory.

alright ok! time for some big boys toys.

i want an Audi R8 on my 21st birthday.
i want a Mercedes SLR McLaren on my 22nd birthday.
i want a Ferrari Enzo on my 23rd birthday.

i want a baby daughter on my 24th birthday.

hey! its not wrong to dream big!
i've yet to get a picture of my daughter. haha.
and.....my hair's dry!
so good night!

Why NS Rocks My World Part III

life of an NSF. Full-Time National Serviceman. it should be FNS what!

i start off the day at 5am. roughly the time i need to wake up so i don't miss the bus at 5.45am. screw the timing and i will lose 15 minutes off the clock for the next bus.

then comes the travelling to Tampines Interchange; 10 minutes. ironically, its about the same time i take to walk there. at the Interchange, i'll take 969; which comes at 6.15am, 6.30am and 6.45am. think of the 3 timings as a traffic light. first one means i'm early, second one means i'm going to be either on time or slightly late and lastly i'm going to be late. this bus however, if its full, then have to stand. bo pian for as long as it takes.

bus service 969 takes about roughly 40 minutes to reach Yishun MRT stop via TPE and SLE. i'll alight at the Yishun MRT bus stop, take the underground route to the other side of the road and take bus service 169 from there. there is however limited timing for this 169 service. apparently, there's only 2~3 buses between the 7.00am - 7.30am window. one comes at around 7.05am and the other one comes at 7.25am. think of it as playing poker. either you win, or you lose. if i take the 7.05am bus, i'll be on time. if i take the 7.25am bus. i am going to be late. wait no. i will be late.

fast forward to returning trip after work at 6.30pm.

now here is where it really depends. we might get to go home as early as 6.15pm or as late as 6.45pm. i'll take the 169 bus back to Yishun MRT. now this bus, at the timing, is a bitch to wait. literally. there's a bus at 6.45pm which arrives plus-minus. after that, the next jam-packed bus will arrive at 7.30pm. i've had my fair share of waiting so go figure.

assuming i take the 6.45pm bus, i'll arrive 15 minutes later thanks to the uber-slow traffic along Sembawang Road. 7.00pm, i'll reach Yishun MRT. again, i'll take the underpass, to the other side of the road because it drops me off at the point where i alighted in the morning.

i'll take 969 back to Tampines, this bus too, if its full here, bo pian. have to stand all the way back to Tampines. it could be a little bit slow because of the huge amount of traffic at Yishun! talk about extremities.

i'll roughly reach Tampines Interchange at roughly what? 7.30pm? 7.45pm?
here, there's so much people queueing up for the 3 buses i can take that it pisses me off. 28, 29 and 293. there is no justice. sigh.

so i'll walk home. my pacing at roughly 4~5 kilometres/h. for the uninitiated, its walking; fast. and i'll reach home at about 8pm. thereabouts. how's that for a life?!

its sad really. i can't go out. i can't eat dinner with friends. erm can, but with army uniform? questionable.

and i have to sleep by 9pm. latest 10pm to get at least 6 hours of sleep. if not i'll have a hard time keeping awake the next day.

i can't wait to ORD. on March 6th, i'll be a 9 month old soldier!!!
oh, and i'll be catching prawns again this month! =D
honestly, i'll tell you, catching prawns is fun!

Kiss Kiss Kiss

i hate it when people try to take my kindness as a weakness.

by nature, i have a very bad temper. you will know if you ever driven with me. but apart from being in the car, i don't really want to get angry over small things and i love being the happy-go-lucky type. but.........

some people just like to upset things.

i had like 2 hours of sleep this morning. super shagged. i was so tired that my hands were shaking while i was driving down TPE/SLE. i swerved 3 lanes to get to Upper Thomson Road exit, the bus barely braked in time to avoid a collision. ooops.

another was the entrance to my camp. i swerved round the corner turn at 70km/h. my bag which sat at the front passenger's seat flew off the seat. and so did my handphone and my camp pass. stupid truck sped when it saw me trying to overtake.

on the way back, i fell asleep behind the wheel! missed the TPE exit and went to CTE instead. maybe i need to sleep more tonight. and that's why i'm going to sleep now.

Because Of You

my whole body is aching very badly.

and i think i like you.......
you make me feel like i'm top of the world.
you know it really isn’t far away that I’m longing to be with you.
