A Bowler's Chronicles

Help! My right arm has been abused! LoL.

Don't worry, it's non-violence related. I've been playing bowling for the last 2 nights/morning. I think I've found a new found love in the sport. Bowling is under-appreciated in Singapore. That's what I think. Most of the bowlers I see patronising the alleys are casual players. Though there are some who are mightily pro!

On Friday night, me and Sudiani met his cousin and friends, Hyder, Francis and Shahrul. We went to Mount Faber SAFRA Clubhouse to go bowling there. The atmosphere was awesome. Pro bowlers everywhere. We had a hell lotta fun I tell you!

FYI, Enid Blyton is the author/writer for the popular children's storybooks. That was a kickass name for a bowling name. And I won ALL 3 games!! WOOOOTS~

We went home at around 6am after picking up Sudiani's PSP at Poon's house at Marsiling. I went to bathe and slept like a log till 5pm! That was a record breaker! The last time I slept that long was back during BMT days.

In the evening, Sudiani called me again, said Kelvin wanted to go bowling. And off we went bowling again at Downtown East!! But somehow, I disliked the place there for some reason. First of all, the waiting time is uber long. We waited about 2 hours just to get a lane. The atmosphere sucks, honestly. Its just, NOISY. With a motley crew staffing the counters, they're really slacking.

We played till about 4am, waited for them to finish their cigarettes and went home at around 5am. Upon reaching my house, I bathed and continued playing Dynasty Warriors Strike Force on the PSP till 7am. And I slept till 4pm.

Nonsensical sleeping times, and a time like this, I'm not even feeling sleepy.

But I had a fun weekend!! Next weekend, secondary school classmates meetup. We're going to SAFRA Game Haven @ Carpenter Street. We're booking a private suite gaming room. There's 7 PCs and a console game in the room. I think its gonna be just awesome!.

Till then, a monstrous week ahead in camp. 9 more days to ORD, 5 more working days to go.

Sleep well everyone for it is a whole new week. =)

BeFrustrated Blitz

What is more annoying than missing the application deadline for University?

Playing 'Bejeweled Blitz' on Facebook.

I'm literally hooked to the Blitz version. I enjoy playing the original version. It is one of the enjoyable arcade-style games I've played so far. The top of the list belongs to Pac-man. =)

You didn't know I liked Pac-man did you!? Hahah!

This Facebook Blitz version has a 1-minute cap, so you really have to be quick on your eyes and mind but even faster with the clicks. Its quite a challenge I must say.

AND HOW THE HELL DO THEY MANAGE TO SCORE 6-digit POINTS????

On calculating the mean score per second, that's 2000 points per second. And considering you'll only get 400 per tri-pair. Unless you get lucky everytime and get 4 in a row which sometimes happen but then again, what are the odds. Unless there's chaining. My very best score was about 78,800. Some statistics I can ponder while at work.

Its frustrating rather than enjoyable. But I don't mind, at least it'll exercise my mind. Its been idling for the last 2 years. And c'mon, its only a game.....

OH!! ARR?? DEE??

I've got so much things I want to do but I've got not enough time or resources to accomplish it.

I know, I know. Time isn't a good enough excuse. Everyone has 24 hours everyday. What did he/she had done that I didn't within the same time given. FYI, on average, I only spend 4-5 hours per day sleeping. Thus the eyebags. Darn! They are ugly!

I don't really keep track what I do during the day. Thus, the term 'Army Daze'. (Army Days)

Its really frustrating. Sometimes when I get to read a book in peace, only to be interrupted by menial tasks. I don't really care about doing all the tasks but after completing them, I don't really have the mood to finish whatever I was doing before.

So, as a reward for all my hard work. For the whole month of June, I'm going to sleep extra hours and exercise more. I wanna catch up on swimming, football and gym. Just like old times.

As for academics, my application to NUS and NTU had been rejected. So I've decided to go for Curtin Uni or UNISIM. For Curtin, I'll be applying for the Bachelor of Commerce; Finance & Accounting Major. For UNISIM, my choice would be University of London, Degree in Banking & Finance.

However, I might change my mind. I've still got a year to think through.

Well, I've gotta start job-hunting afterall. Darn, I missed the application deadline again. So yeah, FYI, I'm feeling pissed.

Its A Man Thing

I bought 2 new games yesterday. A game for the PlayStation 3 and a game for the PC.

For the PS3, I bought H.A.W.X. High Altitude Warfare-Experimental Squadron.



A rather straightforward game. Be a fighter pilot and blow stuff up. Bomb ground targets and shoot air targets down while protecting friendly forces. Graphics are awesome from up above but not really that great down below. As I really am a fan of wargames, this is simply awesome.

For the PC, I bought the pre-order card for the Sims 3 which I will be collecting on the 2nd of June at the game launch at Iluma @ Bugis.



I didn't play the original Sims neither did I play Sims 2. So its a new game for me to try. I'm looking forward to play it!

In all, I spent $155 for both games of which I completed playing H.A.W.X the next morning at 4am. I completed the campaign on Normal mode. Now its time for me to complete it in Hard or Elite mode. As of current, I'm at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer IV at level 22. 18 more ranks to go till the top.

I'm a hardcore gamer. What can I say. =)
And I don't like losing. For The Win!!
It's every gamer's pride. Winning proves you're better than the other guys.

Oh, and Left 4 Dead is a kickass game!!!
Me, Sudiani, Arshad, Idayat, Syaikhul and Abdillah played for about 4 hours at a LAN shop in Meridien Hotel. I like playing as the Infected zombies. They are kickass zombies!!!

Bloody Test

I went back to camp for my blood test. It was uhhh.... okay I guess.


The medic said, "OK, put your arm on top here. OK. Good."
And he poked immediately without giving any warning.


Tsk, "Ta mah de!!, Can slowly or not?? PAIN LEH!"
The dude smiled. Much to my delight. I was joking around with him.


Personally, I'm okay with needles. But there are, to me, 2 types of women you shouldn't offend; The one good with needles, the nurse, and the one good with the scissors, well basically, the hairdresser.

After the blood test, I made my way out of the medical centre. Guess who I met? Raymond!! hahah! He had ORD dental FFI. I talked to him for quite a while. And we met up again for lunch at Bugis. Went around to Bugis Junction and Funan to take a look at games. Its been quite a while since i saw him and Anujot too.


Maybe I should go out and meet them on Monday, when its Vesak Day off-in-lieu.

I Want To Eat Ice Cream

I woke up at around 11am today. I'm on leave. Yay! What am I to do on such a day when I have the whole house to myself? Blast the speakers to loud music of course!! It felt great.

I bathed, watched TV. Studied Calculus. Studied Japanese. Talked to Zafira, well coz, no one else is online and she likes to tease and I'm always the victim. And my lunch? Some bread and a packet of uhh... last Sunday's mixed rice. Its in the fridge. And do I look like I'm in the mood to cook? If only I had a wife. Cook for me, says me! But I won't do that of course.

And at around 6.30pm, I went for a run. It was refreshing from being cooped up at home the whole day. I think I'm gaining weight again. Damn it. I'm doing something about it. By September, I'm targeting myself to be at least 70kg. i'm giving myself 4 months to do it. I'll swim, run, gym and eat. hahah. I'm serious. =)

Currently, I've reshuffled my priorities. And nobody is going to stop me.

Long Term Goal: Get a management job in the airport. Let's face it, I love aeroplanes.

Don't Say It, I Didn't Say It. Did I?

I really had a bad day. Thanks for asking.

First of all, I had to cancel my half day leave today. Which kinda sucks because I was looking forward to going for a swim. But what to do? Put up my right thumb, place it in my mouth and SUCK!

Naturally, besides covering for Admin, basically doing shit paperwork. I still had to cover sentry guard. What The Heck was that?! It hit me right in my face. But that's alright. I sucked thumb because I had to cover for this idiot who took MC for 2 days straight.

But with all the fun-loving people doing the job with me, I had a rather enjoyable day. And it ended with a smile.

We had bought over 2,000 alcohol swabs and nearly 50% of it has been used during the first week itself. Insane! I didn't knew that the camp had THAT much visitors. They set up a tentage specifically for temperature-taking procedures.

There was this funny moment where I had the moments of a doctor.

Scene 1:

There was this Private which came in, he looked well. His temperature was 37.0 degrees Celcius. Perfectly normal. He was kinda blur for a Private. Since there was no one else behind him,

I looked at him and said, "You OK?? Been to any country overseas? America? Mexico?"

He replied stunned, "Uhh, no?"

"You sure or not? Come look at my finger. Follow my finger. That's it, good boy." *Moving my finger left and right*

"Uhhh. Ok."

It was entertaining to say the very least. After all, we've become part-time social health workers. DAMN PIG FLU. I don't care if they call it Influenza A (H1N1). Its still from pigs so the name FLU BABI.

Oh well, all in a day's work I guess. I'm on leave tomorrow. TGIW?

The Revenge Of The Cocoa

Remind me to stay away from 72% noir cocoa next time. It got my body temperature high for last night, it got so hot in my room that I couldn't sleep.

The reason? Chocolate is heaty food. I presume its naturally good to eat before having sex! hahah. But its just me. Chocolate tastes good especially when you lick it off from a chick, but let's not get carried away. But I would DEFINITELY try it, someday. =P

Some call it aphrodisiac, I call it sex food!!!!! HAHA! Stop it!!

I had a shitty day just now, the next best thing besides being awful and sulking about it is to talk rubbish. But I'm not. I'm.... what's that word again?   Sexually-aroused.

Anyway, adult jokes aside, I haven't been sleeping well last night. So I guess I'll be catching up on last night's sleep tonight.

I'm on halfday tomorrow. Gotta cancel Friday's leave due to HQ Cohesion. Going back camp tomorrow to settle the admin stuff. I'm really exhausted to think of anything else to do right now. Except than playing Mafia Wars in Facebook. =)

Oh, and today's Ericka's birthday. Happy Birthday to you, Ericka!! She's an adorable girl too.

Short & Sweet

Well, anyway! I've already completed my ORD quiz yesterday night. It took me a gruelling 3 hours to just finish the whole thing. It was pure concentration and sweating even I had the fan facing me. It was tough but I got through it with much effort. Whoever came up with the idea of a quiz must have been a sadistic animal. ばか。

I'm reading up my Japanese language again. One thing, its such a long time since I watched Japanese anime without the subtitles, and two, my vocabulary seems to be rusty. For starters, I've been watching Japanese variety shows namely, the Mechaike specials with the Morning Musume girls. The latter group is so adorable I tell you. I've not been keeping up with them since my secondary school days. I'm not sure about who's in the group currently.
