I have been to work, home, work, home and work again. I did went for a short getaway last Thursday to Genting Highlands and Kuala Lumpur with some of my closest friends.

Its my first time to Genting Highlands but it was interesting nonetheless. Going on a holiday with friends is so much different than going with family. I guess the home rules away from home still applies even though you're pretty much not far from home.
On my LASIK op done, life without optical aids are very much refreshing after spending more than a decade with them on. I just experience dry eyes once in a while so I have to use eye drops to lubricate and ease the somewhat irritation. Funny how it works though, if I leave it dry, my eyes will start to become itchy and i can feel some discomfort.
Anyways, I had bought myself a new camera! The Fujifilm Finepix HS10 for $749.
It came with an 8GB SD card, a screen protector, a UV lens and a tripod.
Its a 10 megapixel shooter with an incredible 30x optical manual zoom. I have taken about 500 photos with it so far, no complaints from the quality nor the functionality.
Its quite straightforward, afterall, in essence its still a point-and-shoot camera. Its menus are interactive enough to give you a dSLR feeling with the ease of a point-and-shoot camera. As you might have guessed, its obvious strength is that 30x optical zoom. Without a doubt, professional photographers would swear by a Fujinon lens which is a class-leading manufacturer of lenses.
My only qualm is that it has limited autofocus points. Its not very dSLR-like. But hey, for that kind of price, one would expect what to get. I admit, I'm not a camera junkie but I do know the difference between a well-exposed shot and selecting the correct shutter speed and ISO.
To not sound like a sour grape, I'd say, its not about the camera, it is about the person using the camera.
On to my job, I've already tendered my resignation and my last day of work would be on 29 July 2010.
I'm due to start school on 23 Aug 2010. I'm honestly eager to start school!!!
