Do Your Best, Recruit!

more Army marching songs.
this one is quite familiar.

Purple light, in the valley,
That is where, i wanna be.
Infantry,
Best companions.
With my rifle and my buddy and me.

SOC, si bei jia lat.
IPPT, lagi worse.
Everyday, doing PT,
With my rifle and my buddy and me.

Booking out,
see my girlfriend,
saw her with, another man.
KILL THE MAN!!
rape my girlfriend,
With my rifle and my buddy and me.

ORD,
Back to studies,
Got degree,
So happy.
Can't forget, my days in Army.
With my rifle and my buddy and me.

Purple light, at the war front,
That is where, my buddy died.
IF I DIE!,
would you bury me.
With my rifle and my buddy and me!!~
---

my 2nd bookout. it feels good to be back home!
and now, i'm definitely more darker.
with what, marching under the hot sun, doing PT and whatever not. especially when doing 'sai kang'. si bei jia lat and suay ah!

updates about how Army life is.
today, i just completed IMT. which is Individual Marksmanship Training at the IMT Centre at BMTC.
it lasts for 3 days from Thursday.
and its fun!!! getting to shoot with a rifle.

from Monday to Wednesday, was PT all the way. PT? Physical Training lah!
then Thursday, we had to 'zero' our rifle at the IMT range.
Friday was shooting from different positions which was prone, squatting and standing. it was day shooting.
today, was night shooting. we had to shoot silhouette targets and flashing targets and the room was totally dark.

the best part is, i shot all my targets and had full marks for night shooting. i didn't realise it until it was the 2nd last shooting and the sergeant said, "Lane 10!! Keep up the good work!".

at the end, the sergeant called, "Where's lane 10 shooter?!".

i thought he wanted to give me punishment for not putting the rifle properly.
then i responded, "Yes, here sergeant!".

he said, "Good shooting! you got full marks!!"

"Thank you sergeant!"

then when we had debriefing, everyone asked who lane 10 shooter was. and hell, i got disturbed by all the platoon-mates.

i.e. to say, "Wah, we got marksman in our platoon seh."

training only what! hahaa. i shy lah!
maybe i do want to aim for Marksmanship and get enlisted to SAF Sniper School.
*thinking*

but ok! enough! but what else can i talk about other than Army life!?
i'm in camp like 5.5 days in a week of 7 days.

my section-mates are all a nice bunch. easy to get along with. my platoon-mates are super!!! we got alot of different characters that makes our platoon unique. too bad there's no photography allowed. LIKE DUH!!? it's the military.

time for another song!

Training to be soldiers!
Fight for our land!
Once in our life!
Two years of our time.

Have you ever wondered?!
Why must we serve.
Because we love our land
And we want it to be free, to be free, to be free! YAH!!!

Stand up!
Be on your guard!
Come on everybody!
Do your part!
Come on every soldier!
Heart and soul.
Do it for our nation,
Do it for our SINGAPORE. YAH!

Looking all around us,
People everywhere.
Children having fun, while we are holding guns

Have you ever wondered!?
Why must we serve.
Because we love our land
And we want it to be free, to be free, to be free! YAH!!
---

Far far away in the southern China sea ya,
I left, a girl,
With tears in her eyes.
I must go where the brave man dies ya!
A soldier has to fight the front because he loves his land ya!
A soldier has to fight even if he has to die!
Cos we're the one to fight the front,
We're the one to hold the guns
We are mighty warriors of our lands ya!

Kestrel warriors marching in hooray hooray!!
Kestrel warriors marching in hooray hooray!!
The boys will shout YA~!
The girls will scream YEEEE~!
The boys will shout and the girls will scream
We are mighty warriors of our lands YAH!!!
---

these songs are supposed to give us pride in what soldiers do.

anyway, enough sidetracking.
next 2 weeks, i'll not be home for the weekends due to field camp next Saturday for 5 days. it will stretch all the way till 11th July. i'll be home on the 14th of July.

leading quite a sad social life. but then again, if you are talking to me, i will tell you, "BRING IT ON!". how can life be more depressing, sad and tough. if i can endure this, i can endure anything.
next week will be my 1st month in BMTC at Pulau Tekong! woohoo!

and with that, i shall end with this quote i saw in my Platoon Commander's room.

We Are The Unfortunate,
Led By The Unworthy,
Doing The Unnecessary,
For The Ungrateful.

my favourite Army marching song.

welcome to the Army gentlemen.
its where boys turn to men. after 2 weeks of confinement, i can finally understand why. its called Regimentation. though there are some things i'm not allowed to mention because of well..... confidentiality.

for your added information, i'm enlisted in BMTC 1/Kestrel Coy PLT 3 SECT 1.
which simply means Kestrel Company or 'K' Coy and i'm in Section 1 of Platoon 3.

1 Company contains about 200 men.
separated by 4 Platoons and 4 different Sections each.
so there's like 16 Sections in 1 Company.
1 Section contains about 12-13 men.

understand? if, no, then read again. okay? =)

obviously the training made my skin darker. Tekong is much much muchhhhh more hotter than Singapore. about 1 to 2 degrees more hot. it sucks when you have to march all the way to the cookhouse just to have your meals. and the No. 4 uniform just doesn't absorb sweat. so its like having that sticky-sticky feeling. which sucks, obviously.

its all about adaptability gentlemen. and its no stranger to me.

it made me realise how important my parents' love is. 2 weeks away from home and training in the Army camp really is bad enough.

everyday, we, the Recruits wake up at 5.30am in the morning. bathe in super cold icy water. and its no joke, really. literally, my knees were knocking each other and i was shivering on my knees. it is that cold.

next is the food. i'm now never again stepping in KFC again. why?
because they feed us chicken everyday.
breakfast, chicken ham.
lunch, fried chicken.
dinner, chicken with gravy.
and i'm sick of chicken!!
NO MORE CHICKEN FOR ME PLEASE THANK YOU!

i must say after 2 weeks, made me tougher than what i used to be.
they trained us on using the M16S1 rifle. foot drills under the damn hot sun.
and i was also appointed to become the Platoon Office I/C. cleaner.
everyday kena clean the Platoon Office.

for what F***?
FOR F*** LA! KANI**!

in the Army, if any sentence didn't end with a 'Chee By*' or 'F***', then its not a sentence.
i.e to say, 'Eh Recruit!, What the F*** you doing?! Chee By* lah!, you know what the F***ING time is it right now?! F*** lah!'

i shit you not. that's Army life.

well, 3 more months for me to POP! (Passing Out Parade)
today is just BOOKOUT DAY LOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

oh it reminds me of this marching song
its adapted from a Mickey Mouse song.

The Sun will shine, the birds will sing,
For us, for you, for me AH!
We are from Kestrel Coy, Kestrel Company-yyyy!
Kestrel Coy-yyy, Kestrel Coy-yyy.
We are from Kestrel Company AH!

1 more day to bookout day and i am so happy AH!
We are from Kestrel Coy, Kestrel Company AH!
Kestrel Coy-yyy, Kestrel Coy-yyy.
We are from Kestrel Company AH!
---

haha. that's it guys! they're slowly turning me to a man now. gotta get rid all my baby fats first. i can now feel my arms bulging after like extreme pushups count we get during Endurance Training and Circuit Training. oh and we learnt Basic Close Combat Training(BCCT). it was nice! we learnt the basics of hand to hand combat. or simply put unarmed combat. we had to shout 'EEE-YAH!!!!' everytime we punch and open our stance.

KESTREL COY ALL THE WAY!
3 more months to POP! ENDURE AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. 'dear' is literated as 'sayang' in Malay. hahhhhhhhhh!

Oh Look! Bunnies Ahead!!

WARNING: TESTOSTERONE-CHARGED ENTRY!

scientifically saying, this entry is C-19.H-28.O2 charged.
you have been warned. heh. =)

listening to I Wanna Love You by Akon.

why is it hormone-charged entry you might ask.
well, the answer is simple. i got so bored last night after supper so i went surfing the World Wide Web.

and look what i found!!!
treasure full of pictures.

after a good 3-hours worth of surfing. i found tonnes. you gotta trust my taste on this.

ooo nice. hi-5!

after too much exposure to these 'babies'(its babes, how many times must i say!?), Singapore girls have much to live up to. no..... really.

it sure kept me up all night. i mean, when you really have nothing to do, then.....do something!!

PlayStation 2 rocks baby!!!! hah! =)

this shows that Asians are more 'delectable' as models. i'm not really into 'ang moh' women. though they will look nice.

---
okayy! i will stop this craze. now.
lady readers, mai angry hor. no hunks for tonight.
actually there's 1 la.
TA-DA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

who else can it be but me!? hahah.

no offence hor. just trying to make it sound i'm not gender bias to the guys.

oh look i have dimples!hahahah.
duh......

baby dimples lahh.
ok fine whatever.

anyway nice haircut right? a lady cut it at the hair salon next to my apartment when i was in Thailand.

mai angry le. seriously. i'm just fooling around in this entry.
but you got to admit, Asian women do look better than their rest of the world counterpart.
i'm pro-Asian women!! yeah!! hi-5!!
but not fetish hor!!!! haha.

that's it. maybe more entries like this before i enlist on Thursday.
but you got to admit, i have a good eye for pretty girls right?
say YES! hahaaa.

ehh, you know, bunnies reproduce fast right? does it apply to people born in the same year?
i'm a rabbit baby too. you know.

hahahahhh.

by the way, the pictures of the models came from a Singapore-based forum. just for the copyright sake if any. thanks!

ja mata!!

Optometrist Visit

good news is never too good, while bad news doesn't seem so bad at all.

i just got back from my annual visit to my optometrist. and guess what?......
my degree went up by 50 degrees!!
but my astigmatism dropped. well, that explains it. i'm never on the computer most of the time anyway. after 3 years of computer work in the Polytechnic and i tell myself that i'm not taking a Computer Science degree.

oh i know! maybe how about i'm going in NS in about 3 days! and i had an MWC outing yesterday with me as the main character. because i'm going to spearhead the MWC cohort by being one of the first few to go into active full-time National Service! Physical Training Phase oieee!!!!! Tekong oie!!!

okay so anyway, basically i can't wait to go for NS. thrilled is the word.
goodbye Pink NRIC, hello 11B.

after 3 months there, most probably, but most definitely i will slim down. that's what most if not all of my friends said. 3 months is nothing man. its like going to Thailand for my OSIP.

and i believe excessive showboating is really way too much.
there's another word for it. its called show-off.
its fine on a small scale. but it just pisses me off when it gets too much.
some people. tsk tsk. its disgusting and despicable.
in fact, i despise it. i never show off. do i? not excessively i believe.
but hey, that's just me.

じゃ、さようなら。
