first of all,

i would like to wish everyone if not no one a Happy New Year and to welcome 2006, i had work. that's nice, seemingly i would earn $8 per hour for 8 hours of work. good money.

secondly,
my new year resolution. just 1.
-I must have $5,000 by the end of 2006.

well...how about it? i would work of course. slog my way through 2006.

okay, so i'll start on 25th December 2005. i havent had work so i stayed home all day. was in front of the computer for literally speaking the whole day. the day after 25th i started working. from 5pm - 11pm. then the next 3 days from 6pm - 11pm. on the saturday which was New Year's Eve, i asked to work PM shift from 3pm - 11pm. and on Sunday, 1st January 2006, which is yesterday. i have to work till wednesday. oh well.

so anyway, last tuesday, i worked at the Grand Club in Hyatt Regency Hotel Singapore. i think i'll skip introductions, so therefore called GC. that day, a japanese family went in, and their daughter, probably around 3 - 4 years old came running to me and said some words in japanese. i could roughly make out what she's saying. that's because children tend to speak children's language? so anyway, her mother went up to me and said, 'oh, she wants apple juice.'

so then i met people who were extremely kind. those regulars at GC. sometimes i would have little chats with them. =D

some were well...... nice to look at.. hahahahhaha.

ok so thereafter at around 8pm, i would go down back to room service, wearing the same GC uniform, shirt,coat,tie,grey pants. 1 of the few who would don them in room service. =P heheh. well, room service tends to be busy most of the time these past few days. new year and everything. everyone seems to be a little bit edgy. and when someone who is tired at work, never make unnecessary comments. it would just piss them off right in your face. just a little bit of advice.....

anyway, my legs are aching as i type and i need to go to sleep soon. later work starts at 3pm. and my projects are still not done. is life good or what? and guess what, we started a whole new year and week.

oh by the way, i didn't manage to get in OTC for your information. fuck it. i don't really care. all i know is that, i have to get 5k in 1 year. average it out makes it roughly $416.67 per month.

8 hours x $6 = $48 (1 weekend day)
$48 x 2 = $96 (2 weekend days)
$96 x 4 = $384 (for just working weekends for 8 hours)
$384 x 12 = $4608 (1 year worth of pay for weekends)

$8 - $2 = $6 (suppose i spend only $2 in 1 day)
$6 x 5 = $30 (1 week)
$30 x 4 = $120 (1 month)
$120 x 12 = $1440 (1 year)

Total net savings in 1 fiscal year (as of 2nd January 2006) = $4608 + $1440
= $6048

Net excess: $1048 (i couldn't possibly spend $2 a day so actual figure may vary and also there's a 2 month semester holiday to consider so maybe i'll just jot it down on paper.)

okay, so my first entry to the new year and sadly, champagne was just sparkling apple juice. =)
