well, i'll post more details if anyone bothers to read.
anyway, on this recent Tuesday, me and Lemuel, decided to go DFS Galleria in Orchard to get some duty-free stuff. and since i got my air-ticket, life is beautiful. supposedly Ken was supposed to go with us but i think he got lost in time.
so there we were sort of waiting for the escalator to the top level. we were greeted by super polite staff. good job! but well since, its mainly a place where tourists were and it was imperative that there was exceptional service. DFS is a place where locals are hard to find. so anyways, the first time we went up, we were greeted, 'Good Afternoon!' with much enthusiasm. well, i suppose we were not that obvious to be locals. we walked around a bit. went window shopping for first round for all levels.
2nd round. we went up back to the top floor. we had some enquiries about some liquor Lemuel wanted to purchase. we were happily taking the joy ride back to top floor. on reaching, the staff greeted us again. first was, "Irrashaimase!" ("Welcome" in Japanese). then i heard "Hello" in Korean. damn!!! that was super hilarious. i should've have answered back, "Hai, konnichiwa!!". i wanted to burst out laughing but have to maintain. i don't want to sound or look rude. well, Lemuel was utterless. actually we were utterless.
that was that. we ended up buying nothing after looking through the fragrances and chocolate.
next we headed out to nearby stores to check out some prices, comparing it with the DFS prices. it was cheaper....way cheaper. so afterwards we headed to some shops. ermm, the usual, Flash & Splash, Billabong, Quiksilver etc. then went to Takashimaya for dinner. i didn't eat. just had chendol. -_-"
there was the Mid-Autumn festival food fair. well, we walked around abit and decided to try the Japanese ice cream. Lemuel got the Green Tea, which he figured was nice. and............i was challenged to eat..... Wasabi flavoured ice cream!!!!!!!!! muahahahahaa!!!
it looked nice; a bright green tone. so with much anticipation, i licked. abit. it was creamy at first. then, comes the stinging part. the aftertaste. tingling at the back of my throat!!!! oh, it tasted horrible. but that didn't stop Lemuel from taking a substantial bite out of it. the transition of his expression: priceless.
well, the green tea didn't taste that nice either. oh well. it was a waste of $9. and Lemuel bought some mooncakes home. what a day....
oh and by the way, Platinum is the new Black. i got my Platinum MasterCard!!!!! wahahaha. Platinum. P-L-A-T-I-N-U-M. pppllllaaaattiiiiiiinnnuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmm.....
it rhymes with platypus. its an amphibian if i'm not wrong. or is it a mammal?it lays eggs though.
okay well, i just checked on wikipedia, its a mammal. =P
so, what's the dessert item for today? Wasabi ice cream. Die Die Must Try.
oh by the way, i spoke some good Japanese the other day. she was impressed. hopefully it stays that way because.........she's a kitty. ROAR! =)
